Supervision

When providing supervision I utilize the Developmental Model which allows me to view the supervisee’s growth as a professional in stages. As an upcoming counseling professional, the supervisee should be continuously working to advance their understanding of themselves and their clients, which will allow the supervisee to become more competent and knowledgeable along the way. As a result, during the supervisory experience, the supervisee will be required and encouraged to present various clients to identify areas of growth and set goals to support their professional identity. Through conceptualizing each case, the supervisee will evaluate their counseling techniques, the reactions to their clients as they develop self-awareness, and the ethical responsibilities/behaviors of a counseling professional.
